The objective of this project is to develop a SharePoint site that accurately represents the organizational structure under Jack (AVP). This site will improve communication, foster collaboration, and ensure that all team members have convenient access to essential resources.
The core challenges
- Reflecting a complex organizational hierarchy: Designing a site that accurately mirrors the intricate organizational structure, which includes multiple departments and sub-levels, required a thoughtful approach to navigation and layout.
- Balancing usability with security: Achieving a seamless user experience while implementing strong security protocols was crucial. The site needed to be intuitive and accessible without compromising on data protection.
- Managing diverse content and collaboration needs: The site had to accommodate a wide range of content types and support the distinct collaboration requirements of various teams, ensuring that everyone could work efficiently within the platform.
Solution The approach was creating a hierarchical SharePoint site with role-based access controls that reflected the organisational structure. Custom document libraries, interfaces with Microsoft products, and improved navigation all help to improve collaboration and project tracking.

Custom document libraries
Developed custom document libraries and lists designed to organize resources, key documents, and departmental information. These tailored libraries ensure content is structured to support each team’s workflow and access needs efficiently.
Customized timer
We added a custom timer feature to keep track of project schedules, tasks, and milestones. This tool helps us manage our time better and lets teams easily monitor their progress and deadlines.

Created user-friendly menus that guide users straight to key sections such as Project Overview, Task Management, Document Libraries, and Reports. This makes it easy for users to quickly access the areas they need.

Added Quick Links for easy access to frequently used resources and sections. These links make it simple for users to go straight to important pages, saving time and making everything more efficient.

News web parts. Added a News Web Part to share the latest updates and announcements with the team. It shows current news and important information all in one place, making it easy for everyone to stay informed. Plus, it keeps everyone up-to-date with relevant details and helps improve communication.
Adaptive navigation design. The navigation was made to be responsive, so it works smoothly on both desktop and mobile devices. This allows team members to easily access the Project Management System from any device, whether they’re at their desk or on the move.
